Mitchell is also a mediator and he provides mediation services with regard to a wide range of disputes. His mediation training includes the ADR Workshop (Stitt, Feld, Handy/U. of Windsor) 2004 and Advanced ADR Workshop (Stitt, Feld, Handy/U. of Windsor) 2005. He is a Roster Mediator with the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program (Toronto).

Mitchell has delivered seminars and has written papers on a wide variety of legal topics for various organizations, including the Ontario Bar Association and the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. He has also participated in Osgoode’s moot court program as a judge.

Mitchell is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyer’s Association and the Volunteer Lawyers Service.
